Our Mission

Out in Finance unites individuals across the financial services industry to drive LGBTQ+ inclusion and equality. We advocate to advance workplace policies across the industry; collaborate with firms on programming and events; engage with the community; and provide a networking forum for LGBTQ+ financial services professionals.

Our Vision

Our vision is for the financial services industry to be a trusted industry of choice for LGBTQ+ professionals, where they feel safe to be their authentic selves every day, and are equally included at all levels of the industry.

Our Focus

Out in Finance was founded with the purpose of catering to its members, the financial services industry, and the community at large as its primary stakeholder groups. For the benefit of our members, we concentrate on providing opportunities for social gatherings, educational programming, and career advancement, in addition to opportunities for fun and networking. We provide diversity and inclusion advocacy for the industry that we serve, with a particular emphasis on the transformation of cultures. In addition, we provide opportunities for professional collaboration and sharing of best practices, as well as education regarding regulatory requirements. Last but not least, we provide opportunities for community partners to engage in financial education, outreach to youth, and charitable giving.

Core Values

We believe by promoting open roles and careers we will increase the inclusion of LBGTQ+ individuals throughout the financial services workforce which will strengthen the industry.
We believe by providing a platform to raise LGBTQ+ participation in the workplace that we can publicly recognize LGBTQ+ individuals as accepted, valuable constituents of the financial services industry.
We believe by supporting our constituents in developing strong, pro-LGBTQ+ corporate policies that the financial services industry can be the leader in LGBTQ+ inclusion and protection.
We believe by promoting a professional network of LGBTQ+ individuals that we can foster a community of encouragement and guidance from each other.
We believe by raising LBGTQ+ concerns and viewpoints we can speak with a united voice in advocating for change within the financial services industry.
