Daniel is a founding member of Out in Finance and served as co-chair of the Pride Alliance during his time at William Blair, moving the firm from #10 to #3 on Vault’s rankings of LGBT inclusivity amongst investment firms in one year.  Daniel was co-chair of Booth Pride while completing his MBA at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and continues to be involved with ROMBA – a non-profit organization focused on LGBTQ MBA students and alumni.  He believes “Our community still has a lot of ground to cover in this industry.  It’s critical to create a network amongst LGBTQ+ financial professionals to facilitate mentoring, growth, advancement, and inclusion as both employees and clients.

Dru is a founding member of Out in Finance, and has worked in the Financial Services industry for over 25 years.  At Nuveen Dru launched the Chicago chapter of their LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group (ERG), and then transition to be the National Co-Chair overseeing six chapters and almost 500 members.  Dru also volunteers on the Chicago Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Steering Committee, and Co-Chairs the HRC Chicago Corporate Committee.  Dru has a passion to create LGBTQ+ welcoming corporate cultures, and help provide environments that allow individuals to live as their authentic selves.

Jovan is a founding member of Out in Finance and is the Head of Investment Technology at Legal and General Investment Management of America (LGIMA). Jovan is a co-chair for the LGIMA Culture Working Group which promotes diversity and inclusion across the organization, and he is passionate about improving LGBTQ+ inclusion and visibility within the Financial Services industry. Jovan is involved in building partnerships within the industry, at universities, and within the community to change perceptions of the industry.

Dustin is a founding member of Out in Finance, and is Vice President at Golub Capital on the Change Management team.  Prior to Golub Capital, Dustin co-founded and co-led PrideConnect, Mesirow Financial's LGBTQ Business Resource Group (BRG), and guided the firm to a perfect score of 100% on the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) Corporate Equality Index (CEI).  Dustin also serves on the executive board of United Pride, the LGBTQ resource group for United Way of Metropolitan Chicago.

John Bankhurst is a Business Development Director at Salo, a talent firm focused on project consulting in the finance and accounting space. Prior to joining Salo, John worked in a variety of finance roles with Kraft Foods and was Director of Internal Audit for Jones Lang LaSalle. In addition to his work with Out in Finance, John is on the Ravinia Associates Board and Inspiration Corporation. He is a graduate of DePaul University in Greencastle, Indiana.

Phillip is the Assistant Treasurer for Out in Finance and a member of the organization’s Programming Committee. Phillip works in equity research covering the consumer technology and specialty retail sector at William Blair and is co-chair of their Pride Alliance business resource group. Phillip is also heavily involved in Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business alumni and recruiting efforts with a particular emphasis in promoting diversity in placing young business professionals in the finance industry.

Matt Borkowski is a Corporate Paralegal for Guggenheim Partners in Chicago.  Prior to his role with Guggenheim, Matt provided legal and transactional support for multifamily real estate investment companies for over 10 years.  Originally from Houston, back in 1987, Matt was one of the original members of HATCH, Houston’s first support organization for LGBT+ youth and in the 1990s, Matt was a founding member of Houston’s first not-for-profit theatre company focused on the LGBT+ community.  More recently in Chicago, Matt was a member and featured soloist of the Windy City Gay Chorus.

Cody is the Treasurer of Out in Finance and is a management consultant with Alpha Financial Markets Consulting. He is active in the greater-Chicago LGBTQ+ community and volunteers with the Center on Halsted’s youth programs and Lakeview Pantry. Cody is passionate about increasing LGBTQ+ representation at the executive level in the financial services industry and has held leadership positions in various LGBTQ+ employee resource groups. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Harvard University.

Duggan is a quantitative analyst for the Solutions Group within Nuveen. He began working in the financial services industry in 2013 and joined Nuveen in 2016. Previously, Duggan worked as a senior research analyst at Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting in Chicago. In that role, he was responsible for analyzing the asset allocation, risk levels and performance of client portfolios including pensions, endowments and foundations, and defined contribution plans, with a focus on custom target date funds. Duggan graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A. in finance and a B.S. in applied and computational mathematics and statistics. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA institute and the CFA society of Chicago.

Robert is a Senior Associate on the investment team at Monroe Capital focusing on non-investment grade corporate debt. Prior to Monroe, Robert worked in leveraged finance at J.P. Morgan where he also served as Illinois Community Partnerships Co-Chair for the Company’s LGBTQ Business Resource Group. Robert is a Co-Chair of the Out in Finance Programming Committee.

Steve has spent the duration of his career in Financial Services since his graduation from Michigan State University. Prior to his current role at Morningstar, Steve helped launch the Chicago chapter of Nuveen’s LGTBQ+ Employee Resource Group, and, as a Social & Networking Co-Chair for Out in Finance, is passionate about helping individuals build connections throughout the finance industry. Steve also serves his community as an active member of the Lincoln Park Zoo Auxiliary Board and in his free time enjoys traveling, downhill skiing and attending concerts with friends.

Jonathan is a programming chair co-lead as well as the co-lead of the LGBTA resource group at Huntington Bank here in Chicago where he has worked in treasury management for two years. He is a new resident of Chicago having moved here in early 2019. Prior to Chicago he resided in Cleveland, OH where he was president of the Downtown Cleveland Residents, a neighborhood association, an active volunteer and multiple organizations in the city, and was recognized by Crain’s Cleveland Forty Under 40 in 2018. Currently, Jonathan is studying his MSF at Loyola University Chicago Quinlan School of Business and is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) holder.
